I was bored tonight so I downloaded some new icons from iconpackager. I got the second ones, aren't they cute?
So then I decided I needed to redo my desktop and I made it all snoopy. And then since I was in a snoopy sort of mood I decided to redo my 404 page.
I could just bombard you snoopy and take a picture of my little juice bottle that looks like snoopy and make you look at it. But I guess that is enough of snoopy for now. Oh yeah I got some snoopy icons too. You can see them on my desktop, right now I am using the joecool, woodstock and marcie icons. I had time on my hands tonight, couldn't you tell? What I should be doing is preparing for the gre's.

Hiccups Hurt! Why so my hiccups have to hurt so much?? Ahhhhhhhhhhhh. It makes me want to scream. :(

I am tired, and I feel like I have no energy lately. I don't even feel like writing, but I feel like I should update at least once every few days. Anyhow I was talking to some people where I work and it looks like I have a good chance at getting into the graduate program there. That is my #1 choice I think, its a small program and I already know I like it there since I work there so I hope to get in.
I had a field trip on tues. which was pretty cool. On one of the stops we went to this botanical garden and my discussion leader actually thought I had some botanical knowledge since I work at a botanical garden and he wanted me to explain plants to him. I think I disappointed him because I am not a horticulture person. So I always use the excuse that I mainly know California natives. But anyway I am boring you because I am boring myself. goodnight.

Well I was very sad that the radiohead tickets sold out so fast I couldn't even get a pair. :( I was really looking forward to seeing them too. But anyway it turned out sort of ok because I got tickets to The Inland Invasion concert which is put on by KROQ. It should be good since Weezer, Social Distortion, and Pennywise are going to be there. There are a few bands I could do without, but I am excited to see Weezer mostly. This is the first decent concert in my opinion that KROQ has put on in a while. They pretty much suck now playing all that Limb Bizkit and Blink 182 crapola.
So I wonder if I will ever get to see Radiohead in my lifetime. I can't belive there are so many places where they haven't sold out yet, and when they come to LA they decide to play a venue that seats like 5, and I am sure they do that just so I can't get tickets. :( I need to hitch a ride to New York or something so I can see them.

Eden has this great new project up called The voices behind the text. You can go there and hear me saying naughty things.
So I just got back from this field trip for my internship. This internship is art related even though I am not an art student. Its mainly for art museums, and community arts organizations and stuff but the botanic garden participates so I got to have this great internship. We went to Little Tokyo, and I went to these tiny places that not many people know about. It was so awesome. I also got to see Pancho Sanchez, a Latin jazz performer at the Museum of Contemporary Art. It was so cool and I had the best time. I almost didn't go but I am very glad I went. Its funny how I have live in LA my whole life but there is so much I have not seen. People think its just a shallow city that is nothing but Hollywood glitz and glamour, but that is not true at all. It really is a cultural city, filled with a million different ethnic groups that make it so interesting.
In saw a lot of cool things about the media arts too. It nice to know that there are people out there making interesting works of art with media such as video documentary and other things, that is not at all like the stuff we fry our brains to on tv. In all I say it was a stimulating day.

Arrrrggghh, now I can't pull myself away from the computer. Anyway I thought I would tell you about what a little 80's fiend I have become lately. Since I am getting paid I have been buying a ton of cd's. A list of the latest ones include...
  • The Cars Geatest Hits
  • Madonna's first album
  • Metallica.. And Justice for All

I got Pink Floyds dark side of the moon too but that doesn't count since its not from the decade O' Cheese.
others I soon hope to aquire include The Clash, Talking Heads, and maybe some Echo and the Bunnymen.

Ok so screen savers is over and I forgot to mention something. There is going to be the very first muppet convention ever, and of course being the big muppet nerd that I am, I so have to be there. The Muppet Fest is celebrating 25 years of the muppets. I am hopeing that I will finally be able to get myself a Janis puppet, or even cooler a Sweedish Chef one.

So I should be back to posting about every other day or so. Sadly my vacation is over. :( Chris is back in the UK and it has left me feeling very sad. Things are back to normal, I am back at work so I guess that should help pass the time during the summer. I don't really have much else to write so I will go back to watching the the screen savers, 'cause I have a crush on Martin.

I just had a very exciting day. While coming back from Knotts Berry Farm there was a muffler in the middle of the car pool lane which I could not miss and so I hit it. So I got a big stinking flat and had to test out my tire changing skills. Ok so I didn't even have to change the tire, the magnificent Chris did it for me. I have been lucky so far, I have had two flats in my life and never had the change the tire because I wasn't alone. I am sure I would of figured it out eventually if I was alone, but its so nice to have help.
So anyway Knotts was cool, the rollar coasters were fun. I hadn't been there in 8 years and I am glad I went again. I think I am going to take it easy tomorrow and just probably see a movie. My feet are hurting me.
Oh yeah I went hiking yesterday and got a bit of poison oak on me leg. That hurt.

So I am back from Las Vegas, I came back yesterday. I had a pretty ok time except for the fact that I lost $30. I am a real cheap skate and I love to hoard money so I guess gambling isn't really my thing since the money seems to disappear easily before your eyes. But I did get a cool caricature done of me. I am not sure if it really looks like me, but apparently the nose and cheeks are very me. I also went on a roller coaster which I haven't done in a very long time. I had forgotten how fun those are.
So anyway I am going to Catalina tomorrow, my vacation will be over next week so I should get around to posting a little more then.

I noticed that all of the sudden people stoped adding to my mailing list in the month of Feb. I figured people just weren't joining. But upon managing my e-mail list and looking at some things I found that the code had been updated and it wasn't even working. So I fixed that now. So if you are not already on my mailing list, meaning you joined after Feb. and if you want to be added you should do that again. If you don't know if you are on it and would like to know just e-mail me and i will check for you. Everyone who was already on it is still on it, but anyway I guess I would just let you know in case you really wanted to be on my mailing list that bad. I am sure you will be kicking youself in the pants if you don't get to see my exciting updates.
Happy 4th of July people. I have spent the evening looking after my traumatized dog zoe. She is sitting at my feet now hiding under my desk. I am not big on the whole fire works thing, they are just noisy and they scare my dog. I think this is a holiday for boys since they like to blow up things.

I have been very very busy lately, there lots of things going on you know. I am not sure if I will get to write much within these next two weeks. I am taking off to Las Vegas this weekend, to gamble my life away or give all my money to strippers. Either way it should be fun. Who knows maybe I will take up striping myself and make some money so then I can loose it all gambling or giving it to other strippers.
I am feeling like I need to leave my wholesome life behind and do something wild and crazy and not very me. I am sure it would be more exciting for you to read about my adventures as a stripper then my days out in the field being attacked by various plants.
Here is a list of things I have done so far this summer:
1) I bought a cool new mouse, I was getting sick of having to use a mouse pad.
2) I went to the lasarium and saw Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the moon.
wow I guess that is it. There is just too much excitment I can't stand it.
