- Sweet Potato Pie
- Buttenut Squash Pie
I am making butternut squash pie this year in lieu of a pumpkin pie. Here are my justifications.
- I have read that most canned pumpkin is actually canned butternut squash.
- Butternut squash is sweeter and has a better taste.
- The texture is better.
- I made real pumpkin pie last year and the color was a little strange.
I wonder, which squash makes the best pie. Does anybody have an ideas?
Zuchinni (sp?) makes a good sweet bread, I wonder what kind of pie it would make? Some food for thought.
