I wrote this in correspondence to my online friend jon.

I am working on reports. this is boring. very boring. this is the boring part of my job. no more climbing mountans, its all about writing info on forms over and over and over again. did I mention this is boring? I miss my study site. I am going to go there sometime this month to camp, botanize, drink some beer while sitting on the tail gate of a truck in the desert and listening to country music etc, maybe eat a slim jim and some fritos.

I love the desert. the desert is currently getting rained on. Its monsoon season! That means cool thunder storms and late blooming flowers.

I want to live in the desert.

my dream is to live in this small town called lone pine. work as a botanist in death valley national park, have a ranch with sage brush as my back yard and do a lot of driving around in a big ol' truck with my dog who goes a field with me. that is what I want.

I must get back to reporting. its the suxors.
