My photography skills are marginal at best, and my new camera is the suks. This is probably the best photo I have taken with my new digi cam, and to be honest I don't think its half bad. But it took a hell of a lot of tries to get it. I will have to get a new camera ( Canon Digital Rebel I think) before field season starts and I begin to hunt for monkeyflowers.

So a few weeks ago I went camping and collected some plants. I saw a desert tortoise, a burrowing owl, and lots of dry dormant plants. The trip wasn't as fruitful as I had hoped, but it was still nice to get out. Now that it is winter I think I need to plan some desert hikes...
